From the prestigious firm of famous watchmakers of the Austro-Hungarian Empire established in 1836, Ludwig Hainz of Prague (present-day Czech Republic), comes this rare collector's item, a superbly elegant silver open face men's pocket watch.
L. Hainz's family has taken care of and still takes care of the world-famous Astronomical Clock in Prague !
The great interest is that the same serial number is on both the outer inner covers and on the movement !
Serial No. 361432 stamped on the inside of both the inner and outer leaf, with number 5. The inner leaf (cuvette) also bears the company name Ludwig Hainz Prague. The outer leaf is exquisitely decorated and features an empty cartouche in the centre.
The Dial is an elegant white enamel with 12 hour Arabic Numerals. The dial is also signed L.Hainz Prague.
