RARE Battleship Nagato Captured Large 8 x12 Japanese Banner WW2 WWII Original

Up for your consideration is an original World War II Imperial Japanese Naval 'banner' taken from the Battleship Nagato.
8' Feet by 12' Feet
Overall condition is very good. This 'banner' has been in my personal collection since obtaining it at a show several years ago.
This massive 'banner' was taken from the Battleship Nagato after World War II by a U.S. Navy sailor.
The Nagato was the only Japanese Battleship to have survived the war making this flag an even more incredible piece of history.
Like most ships, there would have been a 'banner' storage area on board of the ship where spares were kept.
It's not mentioned if this 'banner' was removed from a line on the ship or if it was taken out from inside of the ship.
Judging by the staining and wear to the 'banner' It's very clear this flag had at one point been flown.
The hand-written note was included with the purchase of this 'banner'
Unfortunately, the seller I obtained this flag from could not recall the veterans name as he had obtained this flag many, many years ago.
There is some hand-written kanji present on near one of the edges of the flag and It's a little bit difficult to photograph.
I've done my best to capture that writing in the above photos. 'Banner' is correct multi-stitched with reenforced corners.
While there are several dirt marks, and stains there doesn't appear to be any severe damage such as rips, or tears.
